David graduated from UC Santa Cruz in 2007, double majoring in Philosophy and Film Production. In 2009, he drove across the country to work on a farm in upstate New York, but ended up spending the next five years navigating the NYC film industry. There, he cut his first feature, THE LOWER ANGELS, which premiered at the NYC Horror Film Festival in 2014. Soon after, he was accepted into the AFI Conservatory where he obtained his M.F.A. in Editing. Since graduating, he has cut ICE CREAM IN THE CUPBOARD, which won the audience award at the Rhode Island Film Festival in 2019, as well as THE BLOODHOUND, which premiered at the Octopus Film Festival in Poland this year.
